Suggested Itinerary:
Day 1Upon arrival in Washington DC, you will be met by your guide at the airport and brought to your hotel for check-in. After a short break we'll have dinner at a restaurant near the hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast in the hotel, we'll visit Arlington National Cemetery where we will see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Changing of the Guard. Next we'll head downtown and have lunch at the Old Post Office food court. After lunch we'll continue our sightseeing tour with a visit to the Lincoln & Jefferson Memorials, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam War Memorial and the World War II Memorial. We'll also drive by the White House, the Capitol Building, the Washington Monument, etc. When the tour is complete we'll head to our hotel just outside the city and check into our rooms. After a short break, we'll have dinner at the Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizza and then take a ghost tour in Old Town, Alexandria (walking).
Day 3
After breakfast in the hotel, we'll head to downtown Washington for a tour of the Capitol Building. After our tour, we'll cross the street and take a tour of the U.S. Supreme Court. Next, we'll take a break for lunch at the Union Station Food Court. After lunch, we'll see an IMAX film at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum and then have some free time in the afternoon to visit the other Smithsonian Museums. In the evening we'll have dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and then visit the ESPN Zone for entertainment.Day 4
After breakfast in the hotel, we'll begin the drive to Philadelphia. (Approx 2.5 hours). When we arrive, we'll visit the new Constitution Center and see a 45 minute multi-media performance about the U.S. Constitution. Next, we'll take a break for lunch at the Bourse food court. After lunch, we'll see the Liberty Bell and take a tour at Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed. After the tour is finished, we'll continue the drive to New York City. When we arrive, we'll check into our hotel and then have dinner at Bubba Gump's. After dinner, we'll have some time to walk around Times Square before returning to the hotel.Day 5
After breakfast in the hotel, we'll take a guided half day tour of Manhattan including a visit to Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, SOHO, Wall Street, the World Financial Center and the site of the World Trade Center. After the tour, we'll have lunch and then go the U.N. for a guided tour. Next, we'll walk back to the hotel and then have some free time before going to dinner at John's Pizzeria and seeing a Broadway show.Day 6
After breakfast in the hotel, we'll take the subway down to Battery Park and then catch the ferry over to Ellis Island. We'll visit the Immigration Museum and have lunch at the cafeteria. When we return Battery Park, we'll head back up to Rockefeller Center and tour NBC Studios. After the tour is over, we'll have some free time in Rockefeller Center. Tonight we'll have dinner at a local restaurant and then we'll visit the 86th floor observatory of the Empire State Building.Day 7
This morning we'll have some free time before checking out of the hotel and returning home
